Procurement and Supply Chain
You are the front door for every third party: strategy, sourcing, contracting and onboarding. What you find before the contract is signed is the organisation’s best leverage. After signature, most of it is gone.

When this seat works
Some roles are held by the same person. Each one still needs someone doing it. When someone does, this is what the organisation gets.
- A complete inventory, with no shadow third parties.
- Contracts carry the regulatory clauses that make oversight possible.
- Risk is assessed before commitment, while it still has leverage.
Where your seat meets the other three
These are the gaps your seat shares. Close them and the arrangement holds.
Risk and Compliance sets the standard. Bring them in at sourcing, so their requirements shape the shortlist and the contract.
The Responsible Party needs the service, accepts the risk and makes the final selection. You run the process and bring the market and risk insight.
The third party signs the contract you negotiate. Present risk requirements as commercial expectations, and agree how subcontracting will be disclosed.

Third-Party Risk in Financial Services Procurement
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand what each of the eight risk domains (the areas where a third party can create risk, from cyber to financial) means when you source a third party, and fold what you find into your commercial evaluation.
- Build risk into every stage of the procurement lifecycle: strategy, sourcing, contracting, onboarding and monitoring.
- Use what the risk assessment finds as negotiation leverage, price risk into the deal, and present risk requirements as commercial expectations.
- Identify the emerging Asia-Pacific (APAC) third-party risks procurement needs to prepare for, and the capabilities to build now.
